Major League Baseball

With the trade deadline only a couple days away, many teams are trying to add that certain player to make sure they have a chance at making the playoffs. There are some great division races shaping up, and it looks like it is going to be an exciting finish to the season.

The Cardinals made a trade for Matt Holliday, and he has already made a huge impact. Holliday already has several multi-hit games, including a 4 for 5 performance his first day with the team. This will surely help Albert Pujols by having Holliday hitting behind him. He will get better pitches to hit, and may possibly have a chance to obtain the triple crown for the first time since Carl Yastrzemski did it last in 1967. It will be a great race between the Cubs and Cardinals.

The Yankees and Red Sox rivalry is intense again this year as the Yankees have been on fire since the All-Star break and have taken over first place in the American League East. The Red Sox have some great pitching, but it appears that the Yankees have the better bullpen at least for the moment. Phil Hughes has been great recently out of the pen for the Yankees. The Red Sox acquired Adam LaRoche to help out their lineup. Oh, and the Rays are still in this thing too.

The Stadium is the best place to shop for MLB apparel. We have a great selection of Cubs, Cardinals, Yankees, Red Sox, and Twins.
